Greetings from the President

Beth Copperidge.jpeg

Greetings,

Welcome to the official website of the Hendersonville Area (TN) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated. Established in 1946, The Links, Incorporated is one of the nation’s oldest and largest volunteer service organizations. Its members are dedicated to enriching, sustaining, and ensuring the cultural and economic advancement of African Americans and individuals of African descent.

The organization’s mission is carried out through five programmatic facets: Services to Youth, The Arts, National Trends and Services, International Trends and Services, and Health and Human Services.

Chartered in 1976, the Hendersonville Area (TN) Chapter has since implemented impactful and transformative initiatives focused on the arts, education, children and families, health and wellness, international service, and the support of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

Nashville’s distinction as a city with four HBCUs provides a unique opportunity for meaningful partnership and engagement. Our chapter proudly supports these institutions through both fundraising and collaborative programming. Notably, our long-standing support of the arts includes various events, with our signature initiative, Links to Legends, serving as a recurring fundraiser since 2005.

Our chapter is also deeply committed to promoting youth literacy, health literacy, and the holistic well-being of children and families. Internationally, we are proud of the positive and lasting impact our efforts have had on educators and entrepreneurs in Jamaica.

We are honored to celebrate our 50th Chapter Anniversary in August 2026, reflecting on a legacy of service, leadership, and impact. While we take pride in our accomplishments, we remain ever mindful that there is still important work to be done. We are steadfast in our commitment to service and look forward to the opportunities ahead to uplift communities—both locally and globally—with friendship and purpose.

We invite you to explore our chapter website, engage with our programs, and join us in our mission. Thank you for your interest and support. You may also connect with us on Facebook (@Hendersonville Area - TN Chapter of The Links, Incorporated) and Instagram (@haclinks).

In Friendship and Service,

Beth
